Welcome to the Hy Peskin Collection
Hy Peskin was one of the most respected photographers of the 20th century
and a pioneer in the sports photography industry. His collection spans from
such famous images as John F. Kennedy and his Wife, to Ben Hogan's one-iron shot
at the 72nd hole of the U.S. Open. Yet much of Peskin's photography digs deeper than
classic photojournalism into art.
The complete Hy Peskin collection includes unpublished photographs that Peskin
and his family consider personal favorites. Many of these family-cherished photographs
are pieces Peskin considered artistic contributions rather than photojournalism.
These include previously unpublished photographs of dancers, landscapes, portraits, and American life.
